About The Position

This position is for the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor who will be responsible for the management of production Manufacturing Engineers supporting the several programs in Ocala, FL. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring resources are assigned appropriately to provide support to the production programs, supporting program and mission area corrective action boards and manufacturing initiatives, and creating and executing strategies that ensure continuous improvement of production processes resulting in on-time and on-cost deliveries that meet program and customer. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and executing processes and procedures in production engineering. This position requires contact with equivalent-level managers, industry peers and customer representatives, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, contractual issues and general overall performance of the organizational unit. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives and works as an active member of an Integrated Product Team, partnering with Production Operations, Engineering and Technology, PP&C as well as Program Management. Focuses on directing the organization to meet critical schedules, resolve critical/complex technical or operational issues.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
  • Professional engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work alternate shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.
  • Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience with CREO or equivalent CAD software, tool design, electronic packaging.
  • Experience managing project or program budgets.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
