About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Specialist with a strong electrical engineering background to support the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for complex industrial and data‑center‑related equipment. This role focuses on ensuring products can be built safely, efficiently, and consistently by aligning electrical design intent, manufacturing processes, factory systems, and production tools. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with industrial electronics and power infrastructure (such as switchgear, bus bar systems, UPS, and related equipment), along with a working knowledge of industrial automation and smart factory technologies. This role partners closely with engineering, operations, quality, and IT to enable scalable, repeatable manufacturing across multiple facilities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role in the power electronics industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and manufacturing simulation tools. Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Familiarity with UPS system components and assembly processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center infrastructure or power‑related equipment (e.g., switchgear, bus bar, UPS, power control systems)
  • Experience with industrial automation, including PLCs, robotics, automated test systems, or ASRS
  • Exposure to MES, ERP, or digital manufacturing systems
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, factory expansions, or technology deployments
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions specific to UPS manufacturing.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and project management abilities. Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, define, and improve manufacturing processes for electrically complex equipment, ensuring build methods are practical, repeatable, and aligned with safety and quality requirements.
  • Serve as a manufacturing subject‑matter expert for electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and industrial electronics, ensuring manufacturability and proper integration into factory processes.
  • Support production teams by troubleshooting build issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
  • Support the introduction and improvement of factory technologies such as PLC‑controlled equipment, robotics, automated material handling, ASRS, and other production automation tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and simplify production using structured problem‑solving and continuous improvement methods.
  • Define requirements for production equipment, test systems, and tooling; support selection, commissioning, and validation to ensure readiness for production.
  • Work closely with design engineering, quality, supply chain, IT, and operations to ensure manufacturing requirements are understood early and executed effectively.
  • Develop and maintain clear manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards to support consistent execution across facilities.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, electrical, and regulatory standards, and promote a strong safety culture on the factory floor.
