About The Position

The position involves assisting with the redesign of various product lines to enhance cost-effectiveness and performance. The role includes coordinating the manufacturing launch of new or revised products, which encompasses training team members and evaluating results. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing machinery, as well as recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. The job also requires evaluating and reporting on new materials, technology, and techniques to improve manufacturing and service of the product line, creating and managing project plans, and participating in design reviews. The candidate will prepare and maintain detailed layouts of equipment, electrical drawings, and other documentation, and will also prepare quotations and appropriating requests for equipment to support business unit requirements. Furthermore, the role includes evaluating and solving production problems, managing the transition of new products and technology into production, and researching, designing, and developing manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ladder logic experience
  • Basic knowledge of electrical design
  • Able to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven demonstration of effective and efficient interfacing with all levels of team members, vendors and guests.
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, projects, and priorities.
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, or equivalent degree.
  • Able to read, create, and analyze electrical drawings.
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • Visual Basic experience or training required.
  • Knowledge of object oriented development required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Visual Basic, Allen Bradley software, Siemens programming software.
  • Robotic programming in Yaskawa or Fanuc.

Responsibilities
