The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will manage the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure they are working closely and in line with Engineering to ensure the proper implementation of new manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications are in place on the production floor. They will also be responsible for developing and purchasing new equipment to assist in new processes. Additionally, they will review, evaluate, and oversee Manufacturing Engineering projects and ensure the team responds to MRBs cases with the utmost urgency.

  • Work with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

  • Lead cross functional teams.
  • Develop, refine, and document testing processes.
  • Develop, refine, and document manufacturing processes.
  • Provide continuous improvement on products & processes (using Lean and 6-sigma techniques).
  • Design and develop fixtures for assembly and test.
  • Perform failure analysis and problems solving to determine root cause.
  • Implement corrective actions to eliminate root cause failures.
  • Identify and implement tools to increase product thorough put and lower cost.
  • Perform other duties as required by the business.
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years related manufacturing experience.
  • Management experience required.
  • Ability to lead teams.
  • Excellent Coaching skills – ability to transfer knowledge to engineers, assembly and test technicians.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAD and 3-D solid modeling.
  • Excellent Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Program and Project management experience.
