About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads engineering resources in a high-performance, polymer extrusion facility. This dynamic leader ensures scalable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes. As a key position within the Plant Management Team, they will drive innovation, quality, and cost-effectiveness through strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration. This includes leading a team of engineers, process technicians, tool room team members, and maintenance technicians while facilitating cross-functional collaboration with Safety, Quality, R&D, Production, Corporate Engineering, and Operational Excellence, and serving as a technical resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving complex manufacturing issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Engineering/STEM (Master's preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead within a complex, manufacturing facility including manufacturing operations, planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, CAPA, SPC, and other problem-solving methods.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, MS Project, or other engineering tools.
  • Demonstrated capability to operate within a highly technical, regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, TS 16949, GMP, or other relevant experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Minimum experience: Four (4) years leadership experience.
  • Experience within automotive or medical device manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, scale-up, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support compliant product and process introductions.
  • Drive continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, OEE, etc.).
  • Oversee process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and work collaboratively with the Quality Department to maintain regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and execute capital projects and equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, AS, TS, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Manage engineering budgets and project timelines.
