Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead occupational safety, process engineering, and facility maintenance functions to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations throughout the Company. Will work in partnership with cross-functional teams to continuously improve Operational, Safety, and Environmental metrics. What You'll Do Optimize manufacturing operations to achieve Federal’s safety, quality, delivery, and cost targetsDevelop processes and identify and implement new equipment strategies to support New Product Development Support the company’s safety program and cultureProvide oversight and guidance of plant maintenance, including facility maintenance and renovations, equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and capacity expansionDevelop and implement capital expenditure projects for equipment and facility updates Assess cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; implement recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiencyProvide coaching on the implementation of lean manufacturing tools such as 6s, standard work, TPM, process flow, Kanban systems, visual management, value stream mapping, and material flow Analyze and implement improvements to specific manufacturing operations such as welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing processesOrganize, lead, and implement kaizen events that impact Federal’s bottom-lineOversee the training and implementation of root cause countermeasure (RCCM) process for supervisors and management team Provide leadership, coaching, and timely performance reviews, holding direct reports accountable to agreed-upon goals
