About The Position

Manufacturing Engineering Lead (Cap and Foundry) Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineering Lead is responsible for leading engineering activities to develop processes, define controls, and implement effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areas. This employee will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing action plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Working knowledge of Zero-Defect methodologies, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and process control.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while adapting to changing situations.
  • Capable of performing effectively under high-pressure conditions and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in the airfoil investment casting industry a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and effectively in collaborative team environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects successfully.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Familiar with Minitab, JMP, or other statistical analysis software.
  • Proven experience in advanced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervision of the Clean & Cap and Foundry Manufacturing Engineers.
  • The Manufacturing Engineering Lead will guide and support the team in achieving critical operational objectives, including:
  • Driving scrap reduction efforts to meet daily and quarterly targets.
  • Ensuring completion of daily manufacturing audits.
  • Maintaining on-time compliance with scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving safety hazards within the work area.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives using PFMEA and control plans.
