About The Position

Dixon Quick Coupling, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is looking for motivated and curious Manufacturing Engineering Interns to join our Engineering team in Dallas, NC! This internship is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a real manufacturing environment, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact production efficiency and product quality. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support ongoing engineering initiatives by assisting with the development, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing methods. You will apply your knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, and tooling to help drive operational excellence. You may also support projects involving workforce utilization and production optimization. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• High level of motivation, strong organizational abilities, and solid analytical/technical problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing facility.
• Create detailed design, manufacturing, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
• Support engineering teams by preparing and presenting project updates, reports, and deliverables.
• Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to help improve processes and workflows.
