During the summer term, you will be placed as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant for 12-weeks. You will be mentored by seasoned technical specialists and provided value added projects throughout this period. Projects will give you hands-on experience with technical issues you'll experience in a production environment. The internship will cover the following topics: Safety leadership, Process and product improvement, Productivity increases, Waste elimination, Total Productive Maintenance. In addition, you will develop the following skills necessary to be an effective manufacturing leader: Creativity & design, Analytics & data-based decision making, Troubleshoot and problem solving, Collaborating and effectively working in teams, Enhancing organizational skills, Elevate performance of self and others. At the conclusion of the internship, participants may be offered an additional internship/co-op or full-time employment in one of Owens Corning's Operation Leadership Development Programs, following graduation.
