About The Position

Manufacturing Engineering Intern works with engineers and technicians who plan, design, and support manufacturing processes & equipment for a production facility.

Requirements

  • Open to active students in technical school or pursuing relevant technical degrees and/or to those with technical background and interests.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SolidWorks
  • Experience with programming and use of manual or CNC 3-axis mills
  • Experience with use of manual or CNC lathe
  • Experience with sheet metal design & fabrication
  • Experience with MIG & TIG welding

Responsibilities

  • Assigned to small projects or discreet tasks within functional discipline.
  • Receives substantial guidance and direction from others.
  • Communicates professionally with leadership, teammates and operations personnel using appropriate technical language and descriptions.
  • Still learning the fundamentals of the discipline and role.
  • Has limited experience within discipline.
  • Understands key concepts in their discipline.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Uses basic metrology tools to measure and analyze parts.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Uses basic hand tools to maintain and build equipment.
  • Designs and manufactures elements of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
