Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, and fabrication techniques
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating manual or CNC machinery
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Basic understanding of tooling design and process optimization

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and build fixtures and tooling to enhance manufacturing safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Operate various machines and equipment to fabricate and assemble tooling and fixtures
  • Assist in programming and setting up equipment used in the production of tooling and devices
  • Develop and improve work area layouts to optimize workflow, ergonomics, and safety
  • Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities to identify and implement process enhancements
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges
  • Document designs, processes, and improvements for future reference and standardization
