POSITION GOAL: Support assigned Manufacturing Engineering activities as directed by the manufacturing engineering Supervisor and designated manufacturing engineers.

Requirements

  • 4- year engineering degree program

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to manufacturing engineering personnel as assigned.
  • Work effectively as a team member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and any remedial action is actively pursued.
  • Maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on manufacturing cell log.
  • Design or specify any equipment/tooling/racking required to support manufacturing.
  • Ensure default locators to all parts within assigned manufacturing cells.
  • Update and maintain layouts (plant & cell layouts and inventory, housekeeping, emergency, & security maps etc.)
  • Help update standard work instructions and assist with training as assigned.
  • Help facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, set-up reduction etc.)
  • Participate in continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Conduct process observations to ensure that assigned time standards are fair and consistent.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned, to assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials.
