Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a 2026 summer student intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering department! Intern work will be related to real-life experiences in manufacturing, and promises to give plenty of hands-on work. The Manufacturing Engineering team is seeking a mechanically inclined summer intern eager to gain hands-on, real-world experience in the manufacturing industry. This intern will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers on a multitude of projects, combining 3D design, technical skills, and practical mechanical work. The Flexco Summer Internship Program has been designed to assist undergraduate students gain exposure to the Manufacturing Industry, provide hands-on experience in their field of interest, and develop professional skills for their future careers. Interns at Flexco can expect to… Participate in 10-12 weeks of our immersive internship program, Experience the Flow of Flexco – weekly meetings with various departments across the business to understand the importance of their role and function within the organization, Join bi-weekly coffee chats with members of our Senior Leadership Team, hearing about their educational paths, career journeys, and gaining advice and wisdom, Take part in monthly workshops on resume writing, LinkedIn networking, interview do’s and don’ts, presentation skills, and Yellow Belt training, And showcase what you’ve learned with a capstone presentation at the end of the summer – highlight a large project/multiple projects you’ve worked on and share your experiences with Flexco’s values. Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older due to federal regulations
  • Full-time, on-site availability (40 hours/week)
  • Currently enrolled in college/university with Fall 2026 registration confirmed
  • Major in Manufacturing Engineering or similar with an interest leaning towards manufacturing
  • Machine design experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Rising junior or higher preferred
  • CAD experience preferred (SolidWorks)

Responsibilities

  • 3D Design and Modifications – Create and update CAD drawings for past and current prints of Flexco products.
  • Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) – Brush up on your professional and technical writing skills and help with process improvements by working on ECO’s.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with teams across Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Testing Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to identify challenges and develop solutions.
