About The Position

Montana Precision Products (MPP) is at the forefront of manufacturing excellence, specializing in producing complex and high-precision components for the aerospace and industrial sectors. At MPP, you'll be part of a team that uses state-of-the-art technology to create components that power some of the most recognizable aircraft in the world, including the Boeing 737 MAX, the Airbus A320neo, and other commercial aircraft. The position involves providing engineering technical support, assisting in process, product, tooling development and maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement using Six Sigma tools. The role requires collaboration with Operations and Material Flow to optimize business results, including manufacturing cost, inventory, and turn-time reductions. Responsibilities include writing and maintaining Manufacturing and Quality Control Work Instructions, interfacing with Design, Product Support Engineering, and Quality, and assisting in the MRB disposition of nonconforming products.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of 2 years education in pursuit of engineering degree.
  • CAD experience or the capability to analyze geometry through the use of CAD programs.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, etc.).
  • Ability to read/write/speak English.
  • US Person Status.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Reads, interprets, prepares, and/or revises blueprints; schematics; drawings; CAD models; manufacturing, inspection, and other technical specifications.
  • Assesses customer and regulatory requirements for incorporation into work instructions and other manufacturing planning.
  • Researches tooling design, equipment capabilities, and manufacturing processes to determine a best fit solution for new product development and process improvements.
  • Assists with process set-up for new product as well as cost and losses reductions on assigned existing product and processes.
  • Analyzes problems with processes and product, provides input for decisions on proper actions to be taken for correction.
  • May prepare and present First Article Inspection reports and any other necessary product or process review and reporting.
  • Interacts with customers and suppliers on technical and program matters.
  • Manages personal timetables and project status for various and concurrent projects to assure milestones and completion dates are achieved.
  • Assists in planning and coordination within the associated manufacturing area.
