About The Position

Accuray is seeking an intern student to join the Manufacturing Engineering team in the summer of 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative medical device technology aimed at treating cancer. Interns will work collaboratively with various engineering teams to perform technical activities that impact the design and manufacturing of radiation therapy products, gaining hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering program (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering).
  • Familiarity with FDA Title 21 and ISO 13485 regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with medical device manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of component inspection and testing protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evaluate results of first article inspections.
  • Develop requirements for ongoing received materials.
  • Develop plans, layouts, and processes for in-process products.
  • Create and validate new work instructions and test records.
  • Develop and validate new tooling and test devices.
  • Plan, execute, and document process validation for new or updated products.
