The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work under moderate supervision to update and assemble models and create drawings using CAD software. The intern will assist the engineering team in creating product and process documentation, as well as modifying item records, bills of materials, routes, and other settings in the software system. The role involves assisting engineers with the required engineering expertise to complete design activities, developing layouts, and modifying existing products, along with providing information required for production use. The intern will use engineering tools to analyze designs to meet requirements for strength, noise, functionality, ergonomics, safety, and quality. Additionally, the intern will assist with edits, updates, and assembling product manuals and customer support documentation, and will update or create CAD layouts in the Solid Works platform. The position also includes creating or updating work instructions and assisting with Lean transformation initiatives. Knowledge of part drawings, assembly drawings, and design layouts is essential, along with the ability to design parts, models, and drawings in CAD software.
