As a valued member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the Manufacturing Engineering Intern will contribute to impactful projects that support factory transformation, product line optimization, and production floor redesign. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, providing exposure to real-world engineering challenges and opportunities to collaborate across teams. This position reports to the Quality and Sustaining Engineer Supervisor and is onsite in Fort Myers, FL.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Junior level or above), preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team on the factory transformation initiative, focusing on modernizing workflows, integrating new technologies, and driving process improvements.
  • Support efforts to optimize the MCX/MCX2 product line, a key component of our business, through data analysis, process mapping, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Assist in the redesign of the production floor layout to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety and ergonomics.
  • Provide ongoing support for cross-functional engineering projects, including documentation, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews, gaining exposure to engineering decision-making and project management.
  • Deliver a final presentation summarizing internship learnings, contributions, and outcomes to the leadership team.
