About The Position

This position will assist in the Study, Analysis, Development and Documentation of Plant Assembly processes. The job also includes assistance in Continuous Improvement Efforts focusing on; Departmental Quality Improvement Projects, Ergonomic Improvement Projects, Line Balance Optimization and Improvements in Overall Departmental Efficiency. It is a temporary position.

Requirements

  • The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program and have completed their Sophomore year of College.
  • Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills.
  • Proven problem solving skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift.
  • Must be able to work to work 40 hours per week.
  • Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • MS office, specifically excel spreadsheets

Nice To Haves

  • A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Study, and analyze plant assembly processes
  • Development of Assembly area data model
  • Development of dashboards and reports supporting Assembly operation
  • Flexibility to address special projects as they arise
  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts focusing on:
  • Departmental improvement quality projects
  • Line Balance optimization
  • Ergonomic Improvement projects
  • Overall departmental efficiency improvements
