We are currently seeking intern/co-op candidates to learn with us as they engage in a variety of hands-on projects alongside our high-performing and authentic Operations team. Position Summary This Manufacturing Engineering Co-op role is a hands-on engineering position that supports the manufacturing of medical device capital equipment. Through manufacturing support, students will investigate production failures, work with cross-functional teams to disposition non-conforming material and implement lean processes and assembly tools/fixtures to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students enrolled in a manufacturing, Industrial, mechanical, electrical, or biomedical engineering four-year degree program entering their third year.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and for medical device systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and quality improvements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to address manufacturing issues.
  • Execute and support continuous improvement projects to optimize overall manufacturing performance and reduce waste.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design, fabricate, and implement manufacturing assembly aids and test fixtures.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of process validation and verification activities.
