About The Position

Advanced Atomization Technologies (AA TECH) is a joint venture between Parker Aerospace and GE Aerospace, created to produce and support advanced fuel nozzles and related products for current and future commercial engine platforms, including aerospace and aero-derivative engines. The highly skilled and experienced team of AA TECH employees is expert in design, assembly, testing, and aftermarket support, providing our customers with a world-class product and support experience. A Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op is an engineering student position focused on supporting the testing, development, documentation, and implementation of advanced manufacturing and assembly processes for fuel injector nozzles. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement through data driven analysis, applying Six Sigma principles, and ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of production operations. Candidates hired for this position will be immersed heavily in a team-based environment in which they will be exposed to a variety of roles including quality, manufacturing, and design of injector nozzles for various commercial applications.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor or graduate program with a major in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar.
  • Due to the Company’s military contractor status, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States and must provide evidence of citizenship or immigration status upon applying for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Co-Op experience preferred.
  • Experience with 3D modeling (CAD) software preferred.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis preferred.
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing methods preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineering and shop personnel on projects that will test both their technical and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Will learn the processing and documentation required to meet the elevated quality levels dictated by the FAA.
  • Employ a data-driven approach for improving manufacturing and gaging processes
  • Support production operations through the creation of new fixturing and manufacturing techniques with a focus on safety, quality, and ergonomics
  • successful completion of all other duties assigned by management.
