As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, you will design custom fixturing and tooling and implement improvements to manufacturing processes. This position gives Co-Ops the opportunity to take design projects from concept to fully implemented solution, along with gaining experience in manufacturing processes and analysis. This position is for a Summer & Fall 2026 Co-Op, with a start date of May 2026 and an end date of January 2027.

Requirements

Minimum 2.5 GPA (must be on resume)
Major studies in: Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering
3D solid modeling experience, PTC Creo preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Design fixturing to support welding, machining, testing, and assembly operations.
Generate drawings and bills of materials, purchase components, and assemble and test designed fixtures.
Fabricate custom parts to support operations using equipment such as a drill press or shear.
Investigate and purchase tools and equipment.
Analyze manufacturing areas for process improvements such as part design changes, fixturing needs, layout changes, and work instruction updates.
Support prototype builds for new product development.
Additional duties as assigned.
