As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, you will design custom fixturing and tooling and implement improvements to manufacturing processes. This position gives Co-Ops the opportunity to take design projects from concept to fully implemented solution, along with gaining experience in manufacturing processes and analysis. This position is for a Summer & Fall 2026 Co-Op, with a start date of May 2026 and an end date of January 2027.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (must be on resume)
  • Major studies in: Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering
  • 3D solid modeling experience, PTC Creo preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design fixturing to support welding, machining, testing, and assembly operations.
  • Generate drawings and bills of materials, purchase components, and assemble and test designed fixtures.
  • Fabricate custom parts to support operations using equipment such as a drill press or shear.
  • Investigate and purchase tools and equipment.
  • Analyze manufacturing areas for process improvements such as part design changes, fixturing needs, layout changes, and work instruction updates.
  • Support prototype builds for new product development.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
