Enhances the capabilities of the Manufacturing Engineering Department by providing technical and administrative support to the engineering group as directed by the assigned team Project Engineer. Location: This role will be based on-site at our JDAS Aerospace & Defense manufacturing facility in St. Petersburg, FL.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
• 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
• Knowledge of basic machine programming.
• Be able to comprehend and interpret engineering process flows to create work instructions for the manufacturing floor.
• Excellent written communication skills (English).

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains all visual aids, station set ups, part allocation tables, and process specifications used for Manufacturing and Quality.
• Creates and maintains some machine programs used for Manufacturing (VPD, FujiTrax, Nexim, Flexa, Koh Young, Camalot).
• Follows prototype assemblies and works with Engineering team to provide pictures, post-mortem, actions, etc.
• Assists engineers in root cause analysis of production assembly issues and designed experiments.
• Assists engineers in tooling set up and review.
• Performs time studies and captures machine and yield data as needed.
• Assists Engineers in analyzing daily yield data and determining areas requiring increased focus.
