About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Hexagon Agility is responsible for overseeing all processes and equipment related to the production line. This role involves collaborating with maintenance and process engineering teams to ensure efficient operations, developing work instructions, and training personnel. The engineer will also engage in problem-solving for new and existing products and processes, contributing to the company's mission of providing clean fuel solutions for commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions for problems related to new and existing products, processes, materials, equipment, and testing.
  • Participate in the execution of projects.
  • Present findings in written reports and verbally in a group setting.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor projects within stated performance guidelines.
  • Interact with personnel on technical matters.
  • Work as a team member with other Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.
  • Help build processes and controls.
  • Write work instructions to support the manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Agricultural.
  • Knowledge of material and process development.
  • Experience in manufacturing and design of composites.
  • Understanding of design for cost and manufacturability.
  • Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors (pressure transducers, thermocouples, load cells).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to research topics through various mediums.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of data acquisition and tool/fixture design concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in a messy environment.
