About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer will work as part of a collaborative team to support our Stator Production Department by implementing and optimizing processes, reducing manufacturing costs, maintaining proper functionality, troubleshooting, and meeting strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fully support rubber injection molding manufacturing processes.
  • Carry out all work in a safe manner and ensure all safety initiatives are incorporated into production processes.
  • Utilize SEEPEX global quality standards as the guiding principles for all manufactured products.
  • Tooling - design and modify molds or other tooling, create drawings, determine equipment needs, maintain tooling/equipment quality, repair/replacement recommendations.
  • Process Optimization - implementation, troubleshooting, establishing best practices, scrap reduction, sustainability, material handling.
  • Project Management - short- and long-term projects including work scopes, research, design, layouts, budgets, ROI, purchase requisitions, trials, and working with suppliers.
  • Ownership of assigned non-conformances, conducting studies, and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of progressive experience with emphasis on rubber product manufacturing, injection molding, tooling design, process development, optimization, and/or troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or accredited university in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CAD - 3D modelling (Inventor), 2D (AutoCAD) drawings, GD&T.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing efficiency methodologies such as 5S, Lean, Kaizen, or similar.
