About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing systems and processes to produce products efficiently and cost efficiently, while ensuring quality standards are met. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for managing all capital expenditure projects.

Requirements

  • Four-year college or university program certificate; plus three or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, and safety.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes utilizing LEAN concepts.
  • Analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Optimize production flow, space utilization, and equipment layouts.
  • Analyze production costs and identify cost-saving measures.
  • Manage and oversee the design and development of projects and capital improvement endeavors.
  • Manage relationships with and direct the work of contractors and service providers to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and report regularly on capital expenditure projects vs. budget.
  • Research and analyze custom design proposals, specifications, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, costs, or maintenance requirements of design of applications.
  • Estimate costs or submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
