About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence across our manufacturing facility. You'll lead and support initiatives focused on cost reduction, productivity and waste elimination (using Lean methodology), capacity planning, ergonomic improvements, new equipment installation, mistake-proofing (especially with PLCs), BOM and routing validation, scrap reduction, TPM and 5S, floor layout optimization, root cause analysis with corrective actions, SOP maintenance, and other strategic activities as directed by the Operations Manager or Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer or related occupation
  • Experience using MS Excel and CAD Software (AutoCAD or equivalent)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in investment casting, grind and finishing operations, or foundry environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and external partners.
  • High sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Experience in Lean-based manufacturing system or process design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support cost reduction initiatives, including idea generation and execution of specific projects.
  • Drive productivity and waste reduction efforts using Lean principles; support capacity planning to improve throughput and reduce lead times.
  • Champion ergonomic improvements through training and implementation of both short-term (recordable rate reduction) and long-term (capital project) initiatives.
  • Manage capital projects from concept to completion, including drawings, specifications, vendor bidding, installation, and operator training.
  • Assist in commissioning new equipment and systems with minimal disruption to production.
  • Support error-proofing (poke-yoke) initiatives, including integration of PLCs and logic-based systems.
  • Validate BOMs and routings through time studies and material weight checks to ensure accuracy in SAP MRP system.
  • Collaborate on new product, process, or system development.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for production processes; train operators, leads, supervisors, and managers.
  • Design fixtures, jigs, and other tools using AutoCAD or similar CAD software to enhance production efficiency.
  • Partner with the Quality department to perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for scrap reduction.
  • Foster a respectful and professional work environment.
  • Provide technical support for engineering projects using MS Excel and CAD software.
  • Perform additional projects as assigned.
