Based in our Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie MN location, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the development of technologies, products and/or processes to meet quality, cost, schedule, safety, and performance goals.

  • Apply technical expertise in the production of products.
  • Select, design or recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and cost.
  • Recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce problems and costs.
  • Solve production problems and improve process capabilities.
  • Participate in the presentation of test results and design reviews.
  • Interact with other functional groups, vendors, or customers.
  • Participate in the administration of technical procedures.
  • Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations.
  • Support capacity model and lean initiatives.
  • May participate in lean six sigma improvement teams.
  • May interact with teammates in numerous global locations.
  • May be required to travel to other Emerson factories in the United States, China, Romania, and Mexico.
  • Bachelors in engineering.
  • Zero (0) years of applicable experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing is preferred.
