Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Exposure to the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent required.
  • Training in shop floor/manufacturing safety required.
  • Experience with tool design a plus.
  • Experience with GD&T a plus.
  • Previous experience using SharePoint and SAP strongly preferred.
  • Ability to develop and present business correspondences required.
  • Experience working in ambiguous situations, such as acting when all the information is not available, required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment but can also be self-directed required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing & assembly organizations to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Assist in the shop floor as necessary.
  • Process JIS tickets and job routings.
  • Drive internal and supply base activities related to Statistical Process Control, Capacity Assessment, First Article Review, Process review, Risk Assessments, and Lean Manufacturing Tools and Principles to meet QuEST's customers' quantity and schedule demands.
  • Part Valuation model creation and validation.
  • Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, and quality.
  • Present project and work updates to customers through presentations and other review meetings.
  • Communicate and interact with internal and external customers.
  • Investigate, incorporate and close out changes to manufacturing procedures.
