The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for documenting the complete process flow of new projects and components, including estimated process times, and generating process files to support manufacturing. This role involves mechanical design tasks in CAD, troubleshooting manufacturing process and machining issues, and implementing timely solutions to maintain production flow. The engineer will monitor and debug new methods, equipment, and procedures to ensure total system efficiencies, and generate CNC programs for various machining centers. Key responsibilities also include NPI (new product introduction) and repeat product processes, developing and maintaining manufacturing plans within the ERP system, and reviewing engineering documents for manufacturability. The position requires creating Solid Models and CAD drawings, CNC machine programs, and process documentation, while providing constant communication and technical support between Engineering and Operations. The role also involves identifying and documenting work procedures, training needs, and supporting customer visits.
