JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, including time, motion, methods, speed, and workflow, to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize machine and labor utilization. Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and formulas to ensure production meets quality, reliability, and design standards. Plan work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays. Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflows, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization for process improvement initiatives. Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and cost management activities from concept through PPAP, ensuring parts meet quality, cost, and timeline targets. Implement product supply strategies and drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimize production, reduce cost, and leverage supplier capabilities. Maintain and manage quality feedback loops to capture lessons learned from defects and ensure continuous improvement across the supply base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Engineering degree (preferred) AND 3+ Years of experience
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and computer-generated reports
  • 3D modeling or Creo experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding on Manufacturing processes
  • Teamcenter
  • Six Sigma Processes
  • Should Cost Analysis
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while driving department goals and deliverables.
  • Requires strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Requires strong Oral and written communication skills
  • Requires display of attributes of a critical thinker and leverage innovative ideas
  • Advanced ability to make and communicate presentations to management
  • Strong time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering and Sourcing Experience in Electrical harness, Nonmetallic and fabrication will be beneficial.
  • Supply chain experience is PLUS
