Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working with marine manufacturing-based technology, processes, and procedures.
Knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
CAD software experience with focus on 3D solid modeling, freeform modeling, and 2D information development.
Hands-on manufacturing experience for industrial equipment and familiarity with both traditional and advanced manufacturing methods.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5s, and Six Sigma skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong team player with the ability to develop effective relationships with all business stakeholders.
Strong time and project management skills; highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple duties.
Ability to lead, influence, and motivate a team.
Ability to work and facilitate within a high-pressure, fast-paced working environment.
Works well under pressure and remains calm in difficult situations.
Must be proficient in communicating at all levels of both oral and written form and competent at preparing professional, comprehensive memorandums, letters, reports, documents, and files.
Technical writing skills utilizing a creative and analytical approach.
Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools, mathematical computing, and analysis tools, and a solid understanding of core concepts, including mechanics
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, delivering drawings with accuracy and speed.
Ability to generate work instructions

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team leadership to determine project prioritization and workflow.
Explain engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical information to installation crews and other cross-functional teams.
Supervise and train other technicians and drafters.
Standardize naming nomenclature and establish other proper documentation practices.
Perform as an individual contributor, with a mindset that considers how your work impacts the entire team.
