About The Position

Purpose of Job
Prepares and installs production projects such as plant rearrangements, capital
budget replacement and additions which include necessary estimates, drawings,
designs, schedules and bills of material. Works under limited supervision.
Accomplishes goals with decreasing support from Japanese counterparts.
Activities and Responsibilities
• Works within NSK to accomplish the production requirements and schedule
attainment.
• Becomes familiar with and apply efficient manufacturing processes in order to
meet the needs of business objectives
• Learns, assists and make improvements to the process of machine functions,
operations, and set changes.
• Assists in the repair on machine breakdowns with maintenance personnel.
• Generates and revises standardized operating procedures.
• Performs root cause analysis of quality defects.
• Develops and implements process improvements.
• Collects data and prepares reports that are necessary to carry out assigned
projects.
• Assists in establishing specifications and operating conditions for area of
responsibility.
• Tests, Evaluates, and recommends usage of perishable items, to ensure usage of
the best material at the least total cost.
• Recommends and provides tooling and equipment necessary for the optimum
process capability and efficiency while maintaining high quality levels.

Supports production needs by teaching, training, and helping to diagnose
problems as required by being on the production floor. Provides insights on
corrective steps to coordinators and operators as well as train new
manufacturing engineers to avoid faults.
• Evaluates design of new, re-built, and existing machines for compliance to
safety standards and government regulations.
• Assists maintenance department in the establishment and attainment of
preventative maintenance needs.

Requirements

• This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 2 to 4 years of position-related experience; preferably 4 to 6 years of position-related experience.
