About The Position

Responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing and all support processes. Will be responsible for defining and establishing best practices to improve and maintain employee efficiency and machine utilization. This position is also responsible for managing industrial production processes, material flow, cost analysis and production coordination.

Responsibilities

Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.
Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational.
Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement.
Manage production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity.
Enforce quality control to reduce waste. Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality.
Improve the efficiency of each production process. Resolve issues and delays in production
Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity.
Develops appropriate metrics including dashboards, scorecards and productivity reporting
Promotes Lean Manufacturing Principles
Identifies opportunities for Continuous Improvement activities
Recommends methods for improving utilization of personnel, equipment, material and utilities
Applies statistical methods and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes and production standards. Analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished products
Analyzes, understands and implements industry best practices
Communicates with Team, Staff, user personnel and management to develop production standards
Develops manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staffing and facility utilization
Studies operations sequence, material flow and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities
Regulates and alters workflow according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
