Summary: Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls using lean principles. Responsible for engineering changes and change control management. Coordinates and plans manufacturing launch for new and revised products. Provide Industrial Engineering support to all manufacturing operations through the application of lean manufacturing / Kaizen principles. Develop work instructions, process flow layout, and set-up procedures while adhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies. Primary responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned: Confers with production control, tool/tool path design programmers, manufacturing, and quality assurance concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Provides support to plant floor as requested. Maintain all required customer documentation. Review customer specification changes for impact on product and take appropriate action. Implement new orders and changes to orders in the manufacturing process.
