About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with fellow Manufacturing Engineers and plant personnel to analyze process issues and troubleshoot machining and assembly equipment problems to ensure proper operational performance. This role is also responsible for selecting, implementing, and integrating equipment within the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert-level understanding of common engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Experience with customer communication systems
  • Extensive experience with engineering change systems and deep knowledge of company products, services, and engineering principles gained through training and hands on work

Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of changes that enhance machine functionality
  • Lead projects focused on continuous improvement and equipment upgrades
  • Direct complex troubleshooting initiatives to resolve production equipment errors and issues
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment/workspace layout for maximum efficiency
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and design teams to align product design and tooling with efficient production methods
  • Validate product specifications for purchasing equipment, materials, tooling, fixtures, or parts in accordance with quality standards
  • Consult with engineering teams on potential suppliers for production equipment, tooling, and fixturing, contribute to final technical decisions, and evaluate equipment performance through acceptance testing
