About The Position

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Support re-engineering floor plan projects for new product line set up Create and modify 2d drawings and 3d CAD models. Make basic modifications to existing parts using machining equipment (training will be provided). Help identify issues on the production floor. Enter newly designed components into Coherent ERP system (training will be provided) Education & Experience Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a degree in engineering. Skills & Other Requirements Mechanical aptitude. Good understanding of how mechanical systems are built and taken apart. Solution oriented, ability to creatively solve issues in a timely manner and provide clear solutions. Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed. Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. Solidworks experience a must. Mechanical Drawing and Drafting experience a must. Working Conditions Office, Manufacturing Floor, Machine Shop, Optics Fabrication Shop, Growth Facility, Coating Lab Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
