We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Tipper Tie food packaging machine product line. A Tipper Tie Manufacturing Engineer designs, develops, implements, and improves production systems that are efficient, safe, and scalable. The engineer focuses on process optimization, cost reduction, and quality control. This is achieved by working with equipment, automation, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and introduce new products. The engineer utilizes skills in lean manufacturing, CAD, and data analysis to ensure smooth, high-quality output. As our Manufacturing Engineer– you will report to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a continuous improvement environment (Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, OPEX)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting a manufacturing plant in an engineering role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software
  • You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Process Design & Improvement: Develop and refine manufacturing methods, optimize workflows, equipment placement, space requirements, reduce waste (lean principles), and design tooling/fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency. Develop "plan for every existing press" and roadmap for future state. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Equipment Management: Select, install, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery. Create a predictive maintenance schedule to increase machine up-time and reduce scrap. Work with vendors to manage repairs and capital improvement projects.
  • Quality & Cost Control: Monitor product quality, gather data on efficiency, and implement solutions to lower costs without compromising standards. Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making. Identify the critical dimensions that must be verified during manufacturing process.
  • Collaboration: Work with design, quality, maintenance, and production staff on problem-solving and new product introductions.
  • Documentation & Training: Create technical documentation and train production personnel on new processes or equipment. Establish process controls, work standards, and work instructions.
