About The Position

777X (Associate or Experienced) 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineer Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate or Experienced Manufacturing Engineer for 2nd shift on the 777x program located in Berkeley, MO. Position Overview: We are looking for Experienced Manufacturing Engineers, with expertise in airplane subsystems, production readiness and composite fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient production of our world-class aerospace products, including advanced platforms for our Fighter Jet programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3: 5+ years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Composite Fabrication experience
  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
  • Experience with 3D model-based instruction
  • Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi- Monitor Collaborative Rooms
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
  • Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle subsystems.
  • Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
  • Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly considerations.
