Job Responsibilities: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to support our production operations by improving processes, reducing downtime, and enabling efficient, high-quality manufacturing. This role is hands-on, working closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure stable, optimized, and safe manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving (A3, 8D, 5Why).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
  • Experience with process documentation and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong analytical and hands-on troubleshooting abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-volume assembly or automotive seating/manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, automation equipment, or vision systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
  • Exposure to MES systems or basic data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
  • Implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Support new product launches, engineering changes, and line transitions—including process layout, work instructions, PFMEA, and control plan updates.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, efficiency opportunities, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Automation teams to integrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including process flows, standardized work, job breakdowns, and training materials.
  • Lead and support problem‑solving activities for scrap, rework, downtime, and quality issues.
  • Provide daily technical support for production lines, working onsite with operators and supervisors to resolve issues.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams focused on process capability, ergonomics, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all engineering work aligns with safety requirements, quality standards, and company operating procedures.
