About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for generating and optimizing manufacturing processes related to electronic assemblies. Duties include developing efficient workflows, integrating advanced automation and testing technologies, and ensuring consistent product quality across high-volume production lines. Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor, analyze, and improve process stability and capability. Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce costs, and enhance throughput while maintaining compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Plays a key role in scaling operations and supporting the delivery of reliable, high-performance electronic products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering—or a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or high-tech assembly.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean methodologies, and Six Sigma practices.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Experience with automated assembly equipment, SMT processes, and test systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, and RoHS compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or advanced certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
  • Experience with ERP systems and MES platforms.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
  • Proven track record of driving cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  • Solid knowledge of CAD tools and manufacturing documentation systems.

  • Solid understanding of Printed Circuit Boards, Electrical Cables, components, specifications, drawings, testing, and qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies.
  • Ownership of processes such as Solder paste printing, SMT, Reflow Soldering, Hand Soldering, Through-hole insertion, Conformal Coating, Testing and other Assembly operations.
  • Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to monitor and improve process stability and capability.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Evaluate and integrate automation technologies to enhance production efficiency and reduce manual labor.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues and product defects.
  • Lead process validation and qualification activities for new products and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, JSTD, ISO9001, AS9100 & ISO13485) and customer requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product introductions (NPIs) and design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
  • Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
  • Develop clear, step-by-step work instructions to guide operators through assembly, testing, and inspection based on customer requirements.
  • Standardize documentation formats to ensure consistency, readability, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to validate work instructions through hands-on trials and feedback loops.
  • Create and maintain process control plans that define critical parameters, control methods, and response strategies for deviations.
  • Integrate visual aids, tooling references, and safety precautions into work instructions to enhance operator understanding and reduce errors.
  • Update documentation regularly to reflect engineering changes, process improvements, and lessons learned from production.
  • Act as a technical leader and point of contact for production teams, providing real-time support and guidance during assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor and train operators and technicians on new processes, equipment, and quality standards to ensure consistent execution.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts to address process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and driving corrective actions directly on the floor.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and shift leads to align engineering priorities with daily production goals.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering, quality, and operations to ensure smooth implementation of changes and new product introductions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven insights to lead process optimization efforts.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence through hands-on leadership and visibility.
