About The Position

Price Industries Inc. is on the search for a Manufacturing Engineer for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Winder, GA. This position will be responsible for Identify, analyze and lead the implementation of process improvements. Continuously learn and become an expert in continuous improvement, product manufacturability and manufacturing practices. Support each product value stream by providing job instruction details with training to production staff and performing process audits. Create and maintain the shop floor layout, production line and machine capacity details, and implement cost savings in the value stream areas. The ideal candidate is passionate about Engineering and has a background in engineering and experience in manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be a problem-solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work and collaborate with a team of talented engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical, scientific, or engineering degree
  • At least 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing-based engineering role
  • Understanding of principles and practices in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on process improvements and cost reduction
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly is preferred
  • HVAC industry experience a huge Plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the management team to develop Operational Method Sheets, training checklists, and training matrixes
  • Work with the Safety Manager to identify and implement safe procedures and enhance ergonomics in the manufacturing process
  • Establish production process procedures and measurement parameters for new products and processes
  • Provide marketing and engineering with the cost of new, redesigned, and current products
  • Specify design of equipment/tools to assist in new and existing production processes, and obtain quotes/bids for the construction of equipment to submit with recommendations
  • Provide support for the management team by providing manufacturing engineering technical expertise and working collaboratively on manufacturing processes
  • Lead in continuous improvement/cost down events
  • Utilize work measurement tools to analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions
  • Analyze operational data such as workforce utilization, facility layout, and workflow to design layout of equipment and workspace following lean manufacturing principles for maximum effectiveness of workers and equipment
  • Ensure manufacturing systems are operational and functioning effectively
  • Recommend methods for improving worker effectiveness, safety, and quality; and reducing costs, including recommendations regarding restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow consistent with demand flow technology, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment
