As a Manufacturing Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will play a hands-on role in supporting daily production, improving processes, and driving operational excellence. This position involves solving complex problems on the production floor, enhancing quality, and supporting daily operations. You will collaborate closely with operators, technicians, quality engineers, and leadership to enhance safety, quality, and throughput. Requirements

  • Have bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have ability to work effectively on the production floor and communicate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Have familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
  • Have basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, fabrication, or automation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Current work authorization in the country of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, or similar)
  • Knowledge of GD&T, PFMEA, or control plans

Responsibilities

  • Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop, document, and improve standard work instructions, process flows, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Assist in designing tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
  • Support new product introductions by defining manufacturing requirements, validating processes, and ensuring smooth transition from prototype to full-scale production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, operations, engineering, leadership) to ensure smooth production and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including supporting audits and documentation updates.
