About The Position

Mach Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the industrialization of our products for high-rate production. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop processes, tooling, and build documentation that ensure builds are repeatable, cost-effective, and meet stringent quality standards. This role is focused on building at scale—delivering reliable hardware every time. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing flexible, adaptable manufacturing processes that enable rapid production at scale. Working with a world-class engineering team, you will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, delivering solutions that ensure manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and mission-critical reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in production manufacturing, process engineering, or industrialization (internship and school projects experience qualifies).
  • Strong background in process documentation, quality systems, and production planning.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and process capability.
  • Hands-on experience with shop floor processes (machining, welding, composites, additive manufacturing, assembly, test).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Fully own production processes from build readiness through steady-state manufacturing.
  • Design and qualify manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tools, and jigs to enable repeatable builds.
  • Develop, document, and release controlled work instructions and quality gates to ensure repeatability and reliability.
  • Drive the optimization of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly processes, focusing on content reduction, assembly simplification, and built-in quality.
  • Provide daily production support and implement SPC, PFMEA, and root cause corrective action for nonconformances.
  • Travel to machine suppliers and contract manufacturers to oversee equipment bring-up and manufacturing trials.
  • Partner with technicians to train, enforce standard work, and improve safety/ergonomics.
  • Work with supply chain to ensure rate-capable vendors and part availability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, yield, and cost.
