The Manufacturing Engineer role will deal with the manufacturing process design and development of new cold plates, heat sinks, chassis and other thermal components, along with developing supporting documentation for long run and high-volume production.   • Collaborate with a cross functional team to define, develop, design, implement, and document a manufacturing strategy for new and existing products.
  • Create CAD models and drawings for components, sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies.
  • Produce detailed and carefully planned manufacturing work instructions.
  • Design fixtures and tooling to help reduce cost of machine setup and reduce scrap parts.
  • Review manufacturing yield, set-up, and cycle times to reduce scrap, reduce rework, identify waste in the value stream, and improve equipment and resource utilization and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing production processes.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Participate in material review board meetings and coordinate solutions for identified discrepancies.
  • Identify trends and recommend best practices to improve process capability.
  • Act as a technical lead for NPI projects, including introducing manufacturing engineering standards into project team meetings, developing reporting ideas and metrics to gauge the project’s success, and in general being eager and energetic towards establishing and maintaining the process design.

  • Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
  • B.S. degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or similar engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience of related experience
  • 1 year of brazing, machining, heat treating, plating, welding, mechanical and/or non-destructive testing experience; machining preferred.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
  • Knowledge of Epicor ERP 10 or similar ERP/MES software preferred
