Job Summary: We are looking for a strong performer with the technical background to support Manufacturing Engineering related efforts for the Electric Power Division. This position will be responsible for managing manufacturing processes, tooling, gaging and equipment, and provide concurrent process functions from design concept through implementation. You will engage with Engineering to implement New Product Introduction (NPI), support with necessary capital assets, and maintenance of all existing processes. Additionally, this role will provides support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Collaborative Automation: Basic understanding and knowledge of techniques and processes of collaborative automation; ability to develop and deploy cobots to automate manufacturing processes.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Basic understanding and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Engineering - MFG: Working knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Basic understanding and knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Working knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
  • Problem Solving: Basic understanding and knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing engineering functions to develop world‑class processes, governance, and control mechanisms, while coordinating effective manufacturing operations to meet schedules, cost targets, and evolving customer demand.
  • Spearhead capital investment opportunities and oversee equipment, tooling, and process justification, implementation, and optimization to improve OEE, capacity, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain EPP, capacity requirements, and production routings, providing daily manufacturing engineering support including issue resolution, lean transformations, manpower utilization, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Leverage Lean principles to optimize process footprint and assembly layouts, driving world‑class efficiency across all operations.
  • Manage and communicate facility and production readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI), New Capital Introduction (NCI), and New Source Introduction (NSI).
  • Direct engineering analysis and execution of equipment and process modifications, including evaluating engineering change notices, implementing part/process updates, and ensuring reliability of equipment and processes.
  • Support planning, development, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, processes, systems, and facilities, including onboarding the replacement Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
