About The Position

Engineering supporting Turbine Blade machining lines and manufacturing operations for the Coated Buckets cell. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Ability to work aligned to the 3rd shift work pattern (10:30pm-7:30am)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant - Garlington Road

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering or technical discipline
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving skills with CNC machining and manufacturing processes
  • Experience supporting off-shift manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions during off-shift hours
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute short to mid-term projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the front-line technical responder for machining lines and manufacturing processes during 3rd shift operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve safety, process, equipment, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime and production loss.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement in 5S, workplace safety, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Act as a visible safety leader, identifying hazards and ensuring safe work practices.
  • Respond to quality issues, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain and improve process documentation, standard work, and control plans.
  • Coach and support operators and technicians through hands-on training and problem-solving.
  • Communicate shift issues, actions, and recommendations to ensure cross-shift alignment.
