About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting daily production operations by developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes, equipment, and layouts. This role ensures operational efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance while providing hands-on technical support to production teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 0–4 years of experience in a regulated industry.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Methodical troubleshooting skills.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).
  • Willing to work full-time on-site on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Experience with Cognex Vision Systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair manufacturing equipment, including ultrasonic welding, nanostake, and leak test systems.
  • Provide direct support to manufacturing technicians, guiding them through equipment issues and assisting in decision-making during production challenges.
  • Determine when additional monitoring, process adjustments, or escalation is required to avoid operational or quality risks.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes, production layouts, and material handling workflows for improved efficiency and productivity.
  • Specify and improve operational procedures related to assembly, equipment installation, machining, and tooling.
  • Adapt machinery or equipment design to meet changing manufacturing conditions and production needs.
  • Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into production plans to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and systems to verify performance and efficiency, and drive corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
  • Support development and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to align design concepts and specifications with manufacturing capabilities and best practices.
  • Ensure all processes, documentation, and procedures comply with industry regulations and internal quality system requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
