About The Position

Support Facilities Maintenance, Process Engineering, Controls Engineering and all Production Areas with engineering and project management services for diverse projects which may include, but not limited to: 1) General Facilities Maintenance, 2) Utilities, 3) New Equipment Installations, 4) Modifications to existing Facilities and Process Equipment, etc., for the purpose(s) of safety improvement, process/production/quality improvement, cost reduction, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Science degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university; preferred three years or more directly related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as comprehensive financial documents and drawings.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, at all organizational levels including external agencies.
  • Must exercise good communication skills.
  • Ability to perform high complexity mathematical equations and solve engineering problems.
  • Computer skills such as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, etc.), AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of machine design, fabrication, installation and maintenance.
  • Mechanical aptitude. Able to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
  • Ability to multitasking in a fast-paced environment, frequently adapting to changing priorities.
  • Work both independently and as a team member to troubleshoot and problem solve a wide variety of mechanical process systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of electrical power distribution and control wiring is a plus.
  • Understanding of Process Logic Control is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain all types of project documentation to include but not limited to project scope, budget estimates, project scheduling, equipment specifications, bills of materials, installation schedules, spare parts, new equipment maintenance schedules, etc.
  • Produce and maintain engineering drawings for projects. To include overall equipment layouts, part details as well as sub-assemblies, schematic diagrams for energy sources, operations etc.
  • Work with outside contractors/vendors to source goods and services need to complete various projects. Contractors/vendors include general contractors, custom machine designers/fabricators, installers, machine and fabrication shops, professional engineering services, etc.
  • Liaison between Engineers/Project Managers at HQ and local vendors/contractors to ensure clear communication of project requirements as well as accurate and timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes for Industrial Equipment and Facilities.
  • The ability to conduct detailed quality and safety FMEAs.
