JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide daily support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance with safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing. Participate in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes. Monitor equipment and process reliability, identifying and addressing problem areas. Analyze engineering change notices, determine any part or process change, and initiate and implement all changes. Provide engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of engineering/technical experience
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or engineering technology is required
  • Engineering or technical education and experience in a manufacturing engineering or similar role providing process support to operations
  • Experience in any of the following areas: engineering and factory systems, engine manufacturing, demonstrated ability to deliver quality results with a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of collaborative automation concepts, features, and benefits.
  • Explain key considerations, challenges, and distinctions between collaborative robots and traditional automation systems.
  • Identify common applications of collaborative automation (e.g., material handling, product inspection).
  • Apply structured decision-making processes and communicate effectively when decisions are required.
  • Recognize appropriate decision-makers within the organization and understand decision-making boundaries within the role.
  • Support problem resolution efforts, including drafting and developing engineering specifications.
  • Work with basic components and processes within a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Perform routine installation, maintenance, and repair activities for assigned engineering functions.
  • Adhere to established engineering standards, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Escalate unusual engineering issues or manufacturing concerns to senior team members.
  • Demonstrate understanding of lean manufacturing principles, including associated benefits and risks.
  • Utilize basic tools and methods to observe processes and identify waste.
  • Recognize examples of successful and unsuccessful lean implementations.
  • Identify key lean principles and core elements of lean manufacturing processes.
  • Support various phases of manufacturing processes, including activities, deliverables, and documentation.
  • Follow standard manufacturing procedures to support production operations.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies for integration into existing manufacturing processes.
  • Apply tools and techniques for process monitoring and control.
  • Demonstrate a disciplined and structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Follow established practices for problem reporting, escalation, analysis, and resolution.
  • Identify and apply key problem-solving techniques relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrate understanding of robotic process automation (RPA) concepts, features, and benefits.
  • Identify RPA applications across industries such as retail, banking, and healthcare.
  • Understand methods and tools used to develop and deploy RPA solutions.
  • Evaluate key considerations and challenges associated with RPA implementation.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills.
