Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Manufacturing Engineer to work out of our Sedro Woolley, WA location. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their 'waste' into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, cross-functional environment and gets energized by turning complex engineering concepts into buildable, real-world solutions. This role is a critical part of our design-to-delivery workflow, with exposure to everything from CAD modeling to shop-floor troubleshooting. If you're ready to work on cutting-edge technology that transforms waste into valuable resources and want to be part of a team that builds what it designs, you’ll fit right in.

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment using 3D CAD tools, engineering analysis, and practical shop-floor insight
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop build strategies for custom systems, including piping, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, and material handling components
  • Translate engineering concepts into actionable manufacturing plans by creating detailed work orders, drawings, BOMs, and routings
  • Support the fabrication and assembly of complex equipment by providing technical guidance, process documentation, and real-time problem-solving
  • Perform engineering calculations related to thermal transfer, structural integrity, fluid dynamics, and materials compatibility to validate designs and processes
  • Own assigned projects from concept through commissioning, maintaining accountability for schedule, cost, quality, and manufacturability
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
  • Collaborate directly with welders, machinists, and assembly technicians to ensure engineering intent is clearly communicated and executed
  • Lead or contribute to root cause analysis of manufacturing issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Assist with procurement and vendor coordination to ensure materials and outsourced parts meet design specifications and project timelines
  • Maintain organized records of engineering changes, build notes, and lessons learned for future reference and training
  • Demonstrate adaptability by taking on a wide range of tasks in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
  • Uphold all company safety policies and contribute to a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of technicians, engineers, and operators
  • Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving drive, bringing energy and excitement to technically challenging work
  • Maintain reliable attendance, arriving on time and ready to contribute
  • Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support Company goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field required
  • 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving custom equipment fabrication, welding, pressure vessels, or fluid systems
  • Proven experience developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and building documentation in support of complex mechanical assemblies
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX preferred) with a strong understanding of GD&T and technical drawing standards
  • Familiarity with ASME standards, welding procedures, pressure system design, and shop-floor fabrication techniques
  • Comfortable working directly with technicians, welders, and machinists to solve problems and support production
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Multiple medical, dental, and vision insurance options to keep you feeling your best
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Generous paid time off and paid holidays (plus 2 floating holidays to use your way)
  • Disability, Life, and AD&D Insurance
  • FSA and HSA options with employer contributions
  • Tuition reimbursement — we invest in your growth
  • Casual work attire — no suits required (unless that’s your thing)
